Prevention of Breast Cancer with Indole-3-Carbinol
Indole-3-Carbinol is the active compound found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and beets, which has been shown to prevent breast cancer in the lab and in clinical studies of women. This product is safe, has no toxic dosage, is inexpensive and probably more effective in preventing breast cancer than any substance on the planet, including tamoxifen (commonly used in post mastectomy patients to prevent breast cancer recurrence) and raloxifen (Evista) (currently indicated for improvement of bone density and possibly diminishing the risk of breast cancer). The latter two drugs, unfortunately, carry all sorts of other risks including increased risk of endometrial cancer, blood clots and many unknown possibilities due to their estrogen receptor blocking capabilities.
