#11 - The First Real Date!
Greta
hesitated for dramatic effect. "And then, he kissed me!"
Omigod!" Liz
squealed. "Guy finally kissed you!"
"What do you
mean finally? I mean, the man seemed to hate me!"
"Oh, Greta,
you're so clueless. He's nuts about you."
Greta and Liz were sitting
outside Café Figaro in the Village, sipping Iced Lattes and catching up on each other's lives.
It hadbeen three weeks since Guy had leaned over in the moonlight and kissed Greta, but now she was worried. He had been away
in L.A. and yes they had talked on the phone every
night, but she hadn't actually seen Guy in almost a
month. Now, he was coming back and on Saturday night
he would escort her to the annual magazine awards night.
"What should
I wear?" Greta asked Liz, "I have to look amazing. It's our first real date since...
"...Since you
locked lips?"
"Exactly!" Greta
said, laughing.
"You have to
wear that white crochet dress. It's
romantic--and sexy."
"You mean the
Collette Dinnigan?" This was the dress Greta bought before going to Martha's Vineyard, but never had the chance to wear. "But is it okay for an awards ceremony? Shouldn't I wear black like everyone else?"
Liz took a sip from her
latte. "Absolutely not! Greta, you want to stand out! Wear white!"
And so she did.
The afternoon before the
event, Greta prepared herself with some fabulous GreatSkin
products designed to cool, cleanse, and hydrate summer
skin. All summer long, she'd been protecting her skin
using GreatSkin SPF 30 with Green Tea. The Green Tea contains powerful anti oxidants that soothed and kept the sun's
harmful rays from damaging her skin. Now, she stood
before her bathroom mirror and gently massaged her
face with GreatSkin's Aqua Cleanser, inhaling the delicious aroma of Aloe and Rosemary. She rinsed with water and
then applied GreatSkin's Facial Scrub to remove dead surface skin cells. It left her skin feeling so refreshed and
absolutely invigorated. Next, she applied GreatSkin Aqua Crème. She smoothed it over her entire face, letting this "miracle crème" work its magic--replumping and replenishing dehydration. It was so light and
yet so effective! And last, but certainly not least,
she smoothed on just a touch of GreatSkin's Aqua Crème for Eyes to smooth away any fine lines, around her brow and under eye area. Greta felt
completely ready for the awards banquet with Guy and
for whatever the evening might bring!

And there he was--standing outside her apartment in front
of a white limo, holding a bouquet of white tea roses. "For
me?!" she cried, thinking to herself--yes, Liz was right--her white Collette Dinnigan
dress was perfect for this night and she was actually
glad she never had a chance to wear it on Martha's Vineyard.
Love was in the air as Guy opened the door to the limo
and took Greta's hand. "My word," he breathed. "You look radiant tonight, Greta."
Greta only smiled a thank
you, knowing her beauty secret: a great dress, and
GreatSkin.
