#13 - Forever Young
Greta
walked quickly through Union Square Park and into the
headquarters of Face Magazine. There was a decided
fall chill in the air and she was glad she was wearing
her new Chanel jacket. It wasn't easy to buy on a journalist's
salary, but Greta had carefully followed her budget
plan and now the jacket was hers.
She exited the elevator,
catching a quick glimpse of herself in the mirror.
Her skin looked amazingly youthful--thanks to GreatSkin.
She smiled at the fact that while she could forego
a few lattes and nights out with the girls for a Chanel
jacket, she never skimped when it came to taking care
of her face.
"I have
an assignment for you, Greta," Guy announced as she walked into his office. His assistant lowered her eyeglasses
and seemed to look at her with suspicion, but Greta
just smiled as if she wasn't madly in love with her
boss. After all, Greta and Guy had agreed it would be best to keep their love affair a secret for the time
being.
"You're going
to Paris!" Guy announced.
"Paris?"
"Yes, Greta.
I'm sending you to Paris for Fashion Week."
Greta
tried to keep focused. She hadn't been to Paris since
graduating from college. Her parents had given her
a surprise trip to celebrate, but that was seven years
ago and she hadn't been back since. She thought how
she was older now, but then felt great because she
had begun taking good care of her skin early on, when her Aunt Jean-Marie had introduced her to GreatSkin. "Smart women start using anti aging products in their twenties!" Since then, Greta had kept to her skincare regime. She was a devotee of GreatSkin's K-Nexyl, the anti aging cream that contained Kinetin, Matrixyl and Vitamins C and E.
It visibly diminished the appearance of fine lines
and wrinkles. And just last night, she had indulged
in GreatSkin's pore-refining Pumpkin Mask. (It was October, after all.) Summer is always rough on skin, so Greta made sure to keep up with skincare regime to prevent signs of aging. She started her day with GreatSkin's Borage Leaf Foaming Cleanser. It smelled rich with botanicals like Aloe, Chamomile, Cucumber and Cocoa Butter--all
so soothing to sun-drenched skin. Next, she applied
GreatSkin's Cucumber Toner. It gently refreshed her skin and cooled and cleansed. Greta followed this with
her absolute staple for good skincare-- GreatSkin's Herbal Silk Moisturizer. She finished her routine with GreatSkin's Age Defying Eye Cream.
"I'd love to
go to Paris!" Greta said quickly.
Guy smiled at her. "I
thought you would."
The assistant handed Greta
a bright red folder. "This contains your itinerary, press passes, hotel information and expense account," and with that she stood up and officiously left the room.
Greta
looked at Guy and whispered, "you're not going, Guy?"
"Too busy."
"Oh," Greta
said and stood up to leave.
"Wait
a second, Greta. You forgot these." He pointed to an assortment of shopping bags from Bendels, Bloomies and Bergdorf's.
"What's this?"
"Outfits, Greta.
You'll need some outfits if you're going to Paris!"
"Oh, Guy!"
"Oh, Greta," Guy
whispered, and then quickly closed the office door
and gave Greta a dreamy kiss that had all the magic
of a glass of bubbly Moet and a perfect Paris night.
