#14 - Greta In The City Of Lights
Greta
walked out of the Grand Palais as if floating on a
cloud. She looked up at the glass and iron marvel and
thought about everything that had happened that day.
She woke up in the luxurious Place Vendome Hotel and
after stepping out into the warm Parisian sunshine,
she sat at an outdoor table at the Café de la Paix and watched the fashionable locals stroll past the shops--Comme de
Garcon, Van Cleef & Arpels, Piaget, Cartier, Tiffany. Then she rushed off to The Chanel show. It was amazing. Guy had arranged a front-row seat for her, right next to Anna Wintour! Greta's
photograph must have been taken a thousand times and
now her face would probably turn up in all the high
fashion and society magazines, and of course, their
very own Face Magazine. But, Greta wasn't worried,
because she had begun her new GreatSkin skincare regimen
before she even got on the Concord for Paris Fashion
Week.
Each morning, she started
with GreatSkin Limu Facial Cleanser. It smelled so fresh and citrusy. It was a fabulous cleanser and the aloe formed
a protective hydrogel that left her skin feeling incredibly
smooth. She followed this with GreatSkin Ginseng Mineral Toner. It removed all the cleanser residue and left her skin ready for her GreatSkin Intensive Skin Lightenening Complex, which helped fade some of the little freckles and sun discolorations that appeared
on her skin. Next, she smoothed on GreatSkin Restorative Marine Moisturizer. It had Vitamin A, C and E, plus some potent antioxidants and smelled wonderfully
fresh.
Just that night, Greta
began her pre-bedtime routine by cleansing, toning
and applying a GreatSkin Firming Masque. It was fabulous for hydrating, healing, soothing and protecting her skin. She then applied her GreatSkin Night-Time Renewal Cream to moisturize her skin while she slept--dreaming of all the dazzling designs
she'd seen at the shows. It also diminished the appearance
of any fine lines or wrinkles. Finally, Greta applied just a drop of GreatSkin DCX Eye Serum. It had been a stressful time, with the packing, the plane and then the whirlwind
of meeting up with friends and designers and editors
and Greta certainly didn't want anyone to detect dark crescents under her big blue eyes. And just a little
drop did the trick!
Greta looked up at the
evening sky and smiled. Everything was so perfect--until suddenly she heard a terribly familiar voice behind her. "Hey Greta, what's the big hurry?"
Greta stopped and turned around
to find Zane Craven. Yes, that Zane Craven--the famous
bad boy movie star--slowly walking up to her. He was
wearing a Zac Posen jacket and a pair of scuffed lizard
cowboy boots that he had probably picked up when he
was filming last month in Austin. "You look great," he smiled slyly. "Paris suits you."
"It's not just
Paris," she began. But then suddenly stopped. Yes, it was Paris, but it was also being
in love with Guy and then she had to admit, maybe GreatSkin
had something to do with why she was looking so great.
But, she told none of this to Zane. She just smiled
mysteriously--the same way all the French women do.
