#16 - Greta and Guy Greet the New Year
"Happy
New Year, everyone!"
Brilliant lights suddenly
flickered on and off as the holiday revelers at the
Plaza Hotel cheered.
Guy grabbed Greta and
gave her a passionate kiss. "Happy New Year!" he shouted above the pandemonium. "Happy New Year, Guy!" Greta shouted back, laughing. Guy clinked his champagne glass against Greta's
and looked at her with serious eyes. He was so handsome
in his Armani tux, and Greta was glad she was wearing
her new Tom Ford evening gown. It cost a small fortune,
but then she had just received a very generous holiday
bonus. Not only that, but she'd been named Face Magazine's
new Arts and Culture Editor. Greta smiled at Guy and
took a sip of her champagne. "Here's to a fabulous 2007!" she said.
Guy pulled her closer
to him and whispered in her ear. "Greta, what's your secret?" "My secret?"
"How
do you do it? How do you get more beautiful every time
I see you?"
Greta just smiled mysteriously.
But still, she did feel a little jolt of pleasure.
Her secret was GreatSkin. It was cold and blustery
in New York and she had started taking extra good care of her skin. Her new morning
and evening routine included GreatSkin's Pearlescent Cleanser. It gently exfoliated her skin and removed any traces of make up residue and
all the impurities that came with living in the City.
Next, Greta soothed and healed her skin with GreatSkin's Aloe Toner. She loved the delicious fragrance of aloe, azule and chamomile. Greta followed
this with AHA/BHA Lipo Serum. It contained Alpha/Beta Hydroxy acids of Bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple,
orange, lemon and willow -- which made for an intoxicating
blend that truly refreshed her skin tone. Greta finished with GreatSkin's Hyaluronic Cream. Greta smiled, knowing it not only enhanced her sunscreen, but was a fabulous
one-step moisturizer. Perfect for busy fashion magazine
editors!
"Your skin is so smooth," Guy
sighed as he touched her face.
"Thank you," was
all Greta replied, knowing that just last night she
had treated herself to spa night with GreatSkin's Energizing Mud Masque. It was a little miracle worker, detoxifying and restoring her skin's moisture.
She applied it to her entire body, imagining she was
in Calistoga Springs and enjoying a mud bath. The masque
was the color of seaweed and smelled of spearmint,
sea salt and almond oil. Its mineral richness gently
detoxified her skin, exfoliating dead skin cells and
restoring her natural moisture balance to leave Greta
feeling smooth all over.
The
music started up again and the old song "Ain't Misbehavin'" played, as the dancing began. Guy twirled Greta around the dance floor. "How does it feel to be the new Arts and Culture Editor at Face?" he asked her.
"I'm a little nervous.
It'll be a lot of work."
"I
know," Guy shouted over the music. "That's why I've decided you'll need to go to St. Barts."
"What?!" Greta
shouted. It sounded like he had said something about
St. Bart's -- the famous island frequented by movie
stars and the rich and famous.
"In February!" Guy
said, pulling Greta into his arms. "I'm taking you on vacation. Better buy a new bikini!"
Greta couldn't help but
laugh. Yes, she thought, she'd buy a new bikini. But
she wouldn't have to worry about her skin being smooth
and ready for the beach -- thanks to GreatSkin!
