Greta Shares Her Skincare Tips
Issue
#25 - Face Time
Greta walked quickly past Union Square Park and ducked into the headquarters of Face Magazine. Yes, she was back in New York City and it felt like old times. The fall weather was crisp and clear. She was wearing a fabulous new Marc Jacobs pleated skirt with a faux Chanel cropped jacket and even a little 1920's inspired cloche hat that would never have been right for L.A. casual. She was back on the East Coast again! Greta quickly walked off the elevator and into the executive headquarters of Face Magazine. She smiled at the receptionist, walked down the carpeted hallway and then stopped at Guy's office. His door was closed, and the snippy assistant, Simone, was there, guarding it. "Hello there! Long time, no see," Greta smiled. "Is Guy in?"
Simone put out her manicured hand. "I'll take your pages," she said, without even looking up at Greta.
"I really wanted to give them to Guy personally."
"He's busy. I'll take them."
Greta didn't want to give them to her. First of all, she had written an expose on Zane Craven and she really wanted Guy to be the first to see her article. And besides, she just wanted to see Guy. Despite the fact that she had just landed in New York after a five hour plane ride, she knew she looked fabulous, thanks to her new GreatSkin regime. She had started cleansing every morning with GreatSkin's Age Defying Milky Cleanser. It's full of anti-oxidants, and perfect for gently cleansing and removing makeup. Next, she applied GreatSkin's Lavender Toner, infused with a hydrating blend of chamomile, sage, aloe, willow bark--and ah, delicious lavender! Next, Greta used her secret weapon against fine lines--GreatSkin's Rapid Response Line Filler. It worked wonders in decreasing those small expression lines between her eyebrows. In fact, Greta could see a 12% reduction in just six hours. Greta then soothed her skin with her new favorite moisturizer--GreatSkin's Glycolic Moisture Cream. It contained Vitamin A, E and C and smelled of citrus fruits, especially a pineapple. And finally, Greta dabbed on GreatSkin's Age Defying Eye Cream, using her ring finger and gently patting the delicate tissue around her eyes, just as her mother--another GreatSkin devotee had taught her. Yes, Greta thought, looking in the mirror, she probably looks even younger and more vibrant than she did the last time she saw Guy.
But now, this assistant was going to ruin everything!
"Well," Greta sighed. "I'll just come back later."
"He's going to be in meetings all day!" Simone announced, officiously.
Greta could feel her face turning red. She wanted to scream, I need to see him in person! when suddenly the door opened and there he was--Guy Thompson, as handsome as ever.
He smiled slyly and then took Greta by the hand and ushered her into his office. "I see you made your deadline," he said. "How do you manage it, Greta?"
"Manage making a deadline?" Greta asked, slightly confused--because she always made her deadline!
"No," Guy chuckled. "How do you manage to always look so ravishing?"
Ah, Greta thought. That was her secret.
