Greta Shares Her Skincare Tips
Issue
#27 - Under the Mistletoe
It was just beginning to snow outside when Greta stepped into W--New York's fabulous hotel in Union Square. Greta walked up the winding beaux-arts staircase to the Great Room where Face Magazine was holding its famous annual holiday party.
"You look beautiful tonight, Greta." Guy said, taking her hand and guiding her into the room.
"Hello, Guy,"Greta said, quickly glancing at the glittering lights, the gold ribboned mistletoe and a swirl of celebrities--movie stars, writers, photographers and artists--all dressed in up for The Jazz Age. After all, the invitations did announce that this would be a Roaring Twenties party. Greta herself was wearing an elegant J. Mendel pale-gray beaded dress with a playfully teasing silver fringe at the hem. Greta was aboutto tell Guy how glad she was to see him, and how handsome he looked in his vintage tux, when suddenly he was swept up into a sea of giggling young starlets.
Simone, Guy's ubiquitous assistant turned to Greta. "He's got to circulate," she announced and then quickly scurried off, following her boss into the crowd.
Greta felt crushed for a moment. Still, she knew she had made an impression on Guy and she knew she looked radiant. After all, that evening she prepared for the party by showering with GreatSkin's Mint Body Scrub. It was perfect for winter when the air turned dry. It smelled deliciously minty and exfoliated her skin beautifully, leaving her feeling refreshed andrejuvenated.
Stepping out of the shower, Greta treated herself to GreatSkin's Peppermint Foot Therapy, gently massaging the deliciously soothing crème and letting the cooling sensation penetrate the soles of her feet, her toes and ankles, making them feel soft and supple.
Before dressing for the party, Greta washed her face with GreatSkin's Limu Cleanser. She loved the fact that although it was oil free, it still left her skin feeling completely hydrated with aloe vera gel. In fact, it was the true multi-tasker of skincare products--perfect for cleansing--yes, but also fabulous for removing makeup, and for soothing sensitive skin after laser treatments and chemical peels. Plus Greta could use it as a shave gel!
Greta next applied GreatSkin's Cucumber Refining Facial Scrub, an exfoliant that contained Jojoba beads, soothing cucumber and chamomile. Greta only needed to use it two or three times a week to keep Old Man Winter from drying out her skin.
Finally, Greta indulged in her once a week treat--GreatSkin's Green Tea Mask. It nourished her skin with super anti-oxidants and moisturized with pure aloe vera, shea butter and avocado. Heavenly!
And now she was ready for anything--even losing Guy to a crush of starlets. But wait, who was this who had put his arm around her waist?
It was Guy.
"You're standing under the mistletoe," he said.
Breathless, Greta could feel the lights swirling around her as Guy moved closer and slowly, but gently kissed her.
Suddenly, the holiday season was becoming more festive by the moment and Greta knew that 2008 would bring her surprises, laughter, romance and--oh yes, beautiful skin!
