Issue #28 - The Night is Young

Greta knew something was wrong. There she was at Fiamma, the fabulous New York City restaurant featuring the culinary leadership of famed chef Fabio Trabocchi. Greta was dressed in her elegant pearl grey Christian Dior suit, but neither Guy nor his parents were anywhere to be seen. She looked around the bustling room. Greta was there to have dinner with Guy and his parents. She hadn't seen them since that weekon Martha's Vineyard. Since then, she'd been in L.A. and the press had picked up on all the rumors about her supposed wild Hollywood adventures with indie film bad boy Zane Craven. Greta really wanted the chance to set the record straight and this would be the perfect opportunity. However, they were nowhere to be seen and Greta realized there must have been some kind of an awful mix-up.

She looked down at the invitation. It was beautifully handwritten in black ink on ivory paper. Guy's family name "Thompson" was printed at the top alongside his family crest.The invitation itself was handwritten in curly black script. Greta stared at the word "January 18th, eight p.m." It was now thirty past and Greta could feel her face flush with concern. Still, even if she didn't feel calm and relaxed, she knew she looked wonderful, thanks to GreatSkin.

Zane looked closely at it. "I think this says eight a.m., not eight p.m., Greta," he said, smiling slightly.

Greta took the invitation from him and looked again. The handwriting was so curly, it was hard to tell. It looked to Greta like 8 p.m., and she was sure Guy's assistant, Simone, said dinner. But then, perhaps she was wrong.

Zane took Greta's hand. "Hey," he laughed. "Let's get out of this place. You look to beautiful to just go home."

Greta wanted to say no, but then Zane smiled that famous Hollywood smile and well, the night was young.
