Issue #33 - The Surprise Guest

The Thompson Compound was aglow in lights as the sun began to gently set over Martha's Vineyard. Greta stood on the deck breathing in the cool night air as she watched the festivities for Guy's birthday party out on the grand lawn. The crowd of guests were dressed to the nines, laughing, dancing, drinking and nibbling on the fresh seafood and delicious canapés.

As the jazz band began playing the Cole Porter tune, "Let's Do It, Let's Fall in Love" Guy came up to Greta and looped his arm around her waist, whispering, "May I have this dance?"

Greta smiled. "Why, of course," she said and Guy led her to the dance floor. The singer crooned, "Let's Do it. Let's fall in love." And as Greta placed her arm on Guy's shoulder, she looked at the beautiful silver bracelet on her wrist--the one Guy had given her and thought this was indeed a perfect day. Here she was with the man of her dreams, wearing a new strapless Oscar De La Renta gown and thanks to GreatSkin, she knew her skin looked spectacular. Happy Birthday, son!" As everyone toasted, Guy leaned in to give Greta a kiss. The crowd oohed and aahed, but then suddenly, there was silence. And when Greta looked up, she was shocked at what she saw. It was Zane Craven!

She felt dizzy and confused. What was he doing there!? She stared as Zane slowly made his way in her direction, weaving easily through the crowd. He was wearing his famous cowboy boots and as usual, looked in need of a shave. There were whispers all around, "is that Zane Craven?! The big star? The indie movie bad boy?!"

Greta felt faint and suddenly the world was spinning around her and before she knew what was happening, she fainted and fell right into Guy's arms!

Greta's skincare regimen includes:

• Getting a professional facial from her esthetician once a month
• Doing a mini facial (including a scrub and mask) at least 3x weekly
• Applying a C Serum product and sunblock daily
• Using anti oxidants to combat skin aging (FYI - aging starts in your twenties!)
• Never going to bed without removing makeup to make sure her pores stay unclogged
• Always cleansing her skin twice in both the morning and night so important serums can penetrate effectively (and following with a toner to re-establish Ph balance and hydrate)
• Using an eye cream and drinking eight glasses of water every day
• Sleeping on her back to avoid developing lines and wrinkles from pillow and sheets
