The Best Care for Twenty-Something Skin!

When we’re in our twenties, our skin is radiant and firm with a minimum of fine lines or breakouts. Now is exactly the time to start practicing a healthy daily skincare regimen. The good habits you adopt today will go a long way toward preserving your radiant, youthful twenty-something skin. Here’s what to do:
- Exfoliate to encourage cell renewal. Up to this point in your life, cells in the outermost layer of the epidermis renewed themselves every 28 days. However, between the ages of 20 and 40, cell renewal slows to about every 40 days. To encourage cell turnover start now to exfoliate one to three times a week with a salicylic acid exfoliator. (It will also help with any occasional breakouts.)
- Using a cleanser with salicylic and papaya will help brighten the skin. Finish the cleansing process with an alcohol free toner to reestablish PH balance and hydrate.
- Apply Masks to keep pores small. In our twenties, we love a good party and all those late nights can be hard on the skin. Three times a week, (after using your salicylic exfoliator) give your skin a treat with a Pore Refining Pumpkin Mask treatment to help clean out and tighten those pores.
- Keep Skin Moist. By age 25, skin starts losing water content and a natural protein called hyaluronic. Replenish both with a potent hyaluronic creme moisturizer.
And, as always, remember to apply SPF 30 sunblock each and every day to help prevent premature aging of the skin and skin cancer.
